I’m still scratching my head at all the major domainers jumping on the ccTLD bandwagon and how everyone else, like lemmings, are following them.

I’ll never invest heavily in ccTLDs because they can change their TOS on a dime, and then you, as domain owner, are SOL.

Have a look at the DNJournal's list of current domain sales for March 2010...

http://www.dnjournal.com/domainsales.htm

Risultati.it just sold for $43K, Stelle.it for $10K

Quote
The country codes enjoyed another big week piling up nine five-figure sales, led by Risultati.it at $43,520, which also ranks as the 8th biggest ccTLD sale reported so far this year. We listed all of those five-figure country code sales in the all extension section at the top of this report and three of those sales may have looked familiar to you. That is because those three changed hands for the second time in as many months.

There might be reason to look at ccTLD's for any serious domainer.

I see. However in my case, I live in the US and the only language I speak is English. It would probably be more of an advantage for international domainers who live in other countries and speak the native language.

hmmm.. maybe it would be good to partner with somebody who can translate but can't afford to buy/maintain domains.  Huh

Obviously .coms are the most desired and probably always will be

i prefer .com for almost everything i have, but i've also had a few
.infos that worked well and got very decent monthly TYPE-INS.
